Barack Obama

Barack Obama is the Senator from Illinois. He was born Honolulu, Hawaii on August 1961. He graduated from Columbia University and continued on to get his law degree from Harvard. Senator Barack Obama has the distinction of being the first African American president of the Harvard Law Review. Barack Obama was an Illinois State Senator from 1997-2004 and was elected as a Democrat to the United States Senate in 2004 and he began his term in January, 2005.

Obama defies Hillary Clinton in the Democratic Party in the 2008 presidential election, last Tuesday. For this reason he is the first African American to be the presumptive presidential nominee of any major American political party.In his discourse, he wanted to give thank all North American people that they had done their support and confidence.

His words were:

“This is our time to turn the page on the policies of the past”.

After the challenge, Hillary Cliton also gives her support to Barack Obama.
